pen enough to let …it to be. I will not be surprised if somebody wants to cancel it, but if they do, I will not agree. I don’t even like the annotation HBO added to it, because I don’t appreciate a history lesson shoved down my throat. Our society should be open enough to let films like Gone with the Wind exist. Instead of canceling it, let’s just admit it’s a classic that aged terribly.

I was introduced to Scarlett (of Gone With The Wind) from another classic I read over 30 years ago. In an introductory notes, Scarlett was compared to Tess (in Tess of D'Urbervilles). I recentky read GWTW for the first time & it is a great novel - I like it just the way it is. I even read the sequel (not as great) to GWTW. Well I'm a Nigerian & know not much about your America & their ways. 😆
