Right before our eyes, AI is (or almost) taking over our writing space.

Or so it seems.

But, whatever they take, or don’t take over, one thing is certain, AI can’t truly take over you handwriting because ofΒ nuancesΒ uniwuelyΒ yours.

You can create and append a unique hand-written signature to all your online stories. After all, you penned them.

This is how I did it.

First, on my tab

  1. Open Microsoft OneNote (on my Samsung S6 Lite tablet).
  2. Start a fresh note with the background set to plain white.
  3. Click on the Draw tab and scribble your name.
  4. Keep on at it to your heart’s content and then screenshot your calligraphic masterpiece.
  5. Crop your name to size. Save the resulting screenshots asΒ .jpg image files.
OneNote β€œpractise screen” by the author.

Next, you will need to convert theΒ .jpg files created above intoΒ .png files. PNG image format enables you to create transparent (see-through images). You will need aΒ .jpg to png converter to bleach off the unneeded white background.

Go online

There are many free online image editing tools. I used the free jpg to png transparent tool from Online PNG Tools.

  1. Upload your cropped-up image of step #5 above.
  2. Use the settings shown in the screen below.
  3. When you’re OK with the results, download your work to your desktop.

Use it or Lose it

Use your branded handwritten name (or signature) in your writings or for signing your documents. Cool.

See how I use my signature on my Medium About page and my latest Substack story. There, I finally settled on the font from my Logopit app and not the one I labored hard to create with my hand (+ stylus) on OneNote.
